About The Event
Life is not all joy and gladness; life also involves sadness, pain, and loss. We may recall or be experienc- ing the grief of someone’s death, divorce, illness, loss of a job, loneliness, or uncertainty or unsettledness from another life change or transition. If this is you - and perhaps it’s all of us in some way - you are not alone. While the season of preparation towards Christmas evokes memories and emotions, some happy, some sad, many of us hold this bittersweet tension where we experience feeling “blue” amidst the vibrant festivities surrounding us.
This is a meditative service of hope and comfort that sets apart time and space for us to honor all the thoughts and emotions that come with the season, and offer our hearts to God who restores us and gives us peace. The service involves prayer responses, as well as extended pauses and silent reflection. You are invited to participate in any way that soothes your soul and allows you to connect with God’s presence so that you may know God’s love and grace this day and every day throughout the season. Everything you need is included in this bulletin.
A lite lunch is being provided in Bingham Hall afterwards. You are welcome to stay and visit while we eat lunch together, or you may take lunch to go. We are so glad you have joined us!
